MUST SEE

STEPHEN NESSEN, JUST YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD TRANSIT REPORTER

Stephen Nessen is a reporter, photographer and record collecter. Nowadays, he cover the transportation in New York

Covering all the issues related to the train? Yes, that is his job.

The WNYC reporter Stephen Nessen visited our Videography for Journalists class to talk about his job, but also to encourage us to work hard to get our dream: be journalists.

When we receive a professional visit, I can see their passion. What is more, I perceived that Nessen, li has a vocation of service to society.

He works in the public radio. WNYC-FM, which broadcasts from the Hudson square neighborhood. The radio's mission has a sturdy commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We can perceive the sense of responsibility in his job.

TALKING ABOUT MTA

As we have mentioned, Nessen focuses on transportation in New York. Every time they need to talk about changes in the MTA system, he appears on air.

He has a super specialization. He follows everything about the system, the staff, the deficiencies. He even understands in detail the Fulton Station scandal and all the politics involved.

The deepest you know, the better you will be qualified to do a job. That i the message I got in the last visit.

So we need to work hard, learn, specialize, and only with effort and making the most of our capacities, we will get the job of our dreams.
